According to studies, the specific characteristic of ginger being a thermogenic food is a factor that contributes to fat burning. Also, that it is an agent that helps in accelerating the body’s metabolic rate and it is advisable to include it in the diet to fight obesity.
Burning fat using ginger, as we have already mentioned, translates into weight loss, reducing triglyceride and cholesterol levels as well.

The journal Metabolism published a study in 2012, where it talks about a new property of ginger to contribute to the feeling of fullness in the body.
This study consisted of giving ginger in the form of tea to healthy but overweight subjects following certain protocols in amounts and times.
Following a monitoring of the level of calories burned and of satiety that they felt before and after taking ginger, the study showed significant results about the feeling of fullness after eating, even with a single dose of ginger.
Thus, through this study it was concluded that there may be an increase in the feeling of satiety after eating and therefore have a greater chance of losing weight thanks to the consumption of ginger water, which limits the desire to continue eating during weight loss diets.
