Miki Ryosuke, a Japanese actor, recently discovered a natural method that helped him lose weight. After experiencing back pain, Miki’s doctor recommended that she do some exercise each day to help ease her pain. After exercising for a few weeks, Miki lost 13 kilos and 12 centimeters from her waist. Miki refers to the technique as the long breath diet. You take a position, take a three-second breath, then exhale strongly for seven seconds. This is the Japanese deep breathing technique to lose belly fat and weight in general.
The deep breathing technique really works
Although it is not a substitute for exercise, it is a great first step for women just beginning an exercise plan, and deep breathing enhances the benefits of any form of exercise. Deep breathing exercises provide the body with oxygen. Oxygen absorbs nutrients and can help rid the body of toxins, which can lead to weight loss.
Research found that the combination of yoga and deep breathing exercises helped overweight teens lose weight. Sixty high school teens were divided into two groups. The first group received 40 minutes of yoga and performed deep breathing exercises four times a week for 12 weeks. The second group continued with their normal routine.
Researchers found that the group that did yoga and deep breathing lost an average body weight of almost 3 kilos without daily caloric intake restrictions.
How to perform the deep breathing technique?
- Stand with one leg in front and the other behind.
- Stretch your muscles as you transfer your weight to your back foot.
- Inhale slowly for 3 seconds while raising your arms above your head.
- Exhale forcefully, but carefully for 7 seconds, while lowering your hands, bringing them together in front of you and tensing all the muscles of your body. Remember, this whole process takes 7 seconds.
Perform this exercise every day for 2-10 minutes. It will allow your body to use more oxygen to help you burn fat, and it will also strengthen your muscles and increase your metabolism.
