If you incorporate it into your fat loss and weight loss regimen, there are 3 main ways you can take advantage of the bromelain in pineapple:

  1. Eating the fiber-rich core of a pineapple juices, and is ripe as it is the best way to consume natural sources of bromelain. Keep in mind that the more mature the fruit, the softer the kernel will be. So be sure to keep it an extra day or two outside to make sure you’re not chewing on a tough stalk. Note that the flesh of a pineapple is good for you too, but it doesn’t have the high bromelain content as the core.

Taking a natural bromelain supplement or bromelain proteolytic enzyme supplement can also be very effective if it targets a specific or chronic inflammatory disease. If you are trying to improve digestion, it is recommended to take it with meals, but for all other health problems take it on an empty stomach.
